Hi, I’m Remmi!
I’m just your average 15-year-old teen and high school student! The first thing you should know about me is I love food. I always have, even in my chunky infant years. I began my culinary adventures at the wee age of 4 years old, simply mixing salads and washing fruits and vegetables. Even at a young age, I knew I was interested in how food was made, so I delved into the world of cooking and fell in love. I was in the kitchen so much during my younger years that by the time I was 7 I could make a full meal by myself. I remember my first meal was meatloaf and a summer salad, exciting, huh? At 8 years old, I realized how big of a problem childhood obesity WAS.
It’s a national epidemic that hits close to home because I live in Oklahoma one of the unhealthiest states in the US. I wanted to find a way to help prevent this rising issue. Then it came to me, in the form of my brother’s suggestion, I was going to make a web-show for cooking healthy and eating healthy. It’s a win-win situation; I could share my love of cooking and raise awareness to help stop the childhood obesity epidemic. Thus, Cook Time with Remmi was born.
I am the National Ambassador for Health and Wellness for an international food catering company, Sodexo. In this capacity I travel all over the country making appearances to students and adults.
